Founder


Dr Andrew Brodrick

Prior to setting up the first of a string of successful companies,Andrew was an NHS Pharmacist in Birmingham and North Yorkshire for 10 years. He went on to establish Bio-Medical Services Ltd in 1982 followed by BMS Laboratories six years later.


In 2002, Andrew successfully sold BMS Laboratories to the global

pharmaceuticals company, Dr Reddy’s in a multi-million pound deal.


In 2004 Andrew established amedical devices company, CD Medical and it was sold to its UK distributor in 2008.


In 2005, Andrew set up Neoceuticals aiming to develop paediatric products.

Dr Rod Adams

After graduating, Rod worked for a number of pharmaceutical companies before forming his own company, Adams Healthcare,in 1997.


Adams Healthcare specialised in Infection Control and Dermatological products. In May 2002, Medical Solutions Ltd acquired the company and Rod worked in various senior management roles in the company until 2004.


He was appointed CEO of Syntopix Ltd, a dermatological drug company in October 2004 and became Chairman of Syntopix Group plc in 2007.


Dr Adams was appointed Chairman of Cizzle Biotechnology Ltd, a spinout from York University in August 2007. 


He was appointed Chairman of Neotherix Ltd, aspinout from Smith & Nephew in July 2008. He also co-founded Neoceuticals Ltd with Andrew since 2008.

Prof. Beining Chen

Technical Director

From 1980 to 1987, he studied in China Pharmaceutical University and obtained bachelor's and master's degrees;

D. degree from the University of Glasgow, UK, in 1991, and joined the postdoctoral station of the University of Glasgow in the same year.

1993-1995, joined Dyson Perrins' lab at Oxford University, UK as a postdoctoral researcher

Inducted into Who's Who in the World in 2007.

Tenured Professor of Medicinal Chemistry in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Sheffield since 2014, specialising in new drug development and as Course Director.

Currently a member of the Council of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) and a committee member of the Flemish Research Foundation (FWO).

Coordinator of the EPSRC-funded 'Prion Proteins, Stem Cells and Alzheimer's Disease: A Prion Chemical Biology Network (PCBNet)' since 2011.Organises and chairs national/international forums for information exchange in the field of prion biology, coordinates 12 PCBNet funded pilot projects and is responsible for the overall coordination of over 100 members from over 30 organisations and 10 different countries. Overall coordination of PCBNet for over 100 members from more than 30 organisations and 10 different countries. Chair of the Scientific and Local Organizing Committee since the creation of the national workshop on the chemical biology of prions.
